Thank you, 2014!

We’re entering the final days of 2014 — how did you do on your New Year’s resolutions these past 11.75 months? Is there any leftover item to be carried over to 2015?
We’re only have a few days left of 2014. I know you’re probably thinking that this year went by so fast. Where DID the time go? I heard once you turn 30 that time just speeds up and I couldn’t agree more.
When I posted my Happy New Year/Goodbye 2013 post, little did I expect to have such a year ahead.
Lifebeinggirly blog turned 1 this year. YAY! I’m excited to see where my blog will grow into next year. I didn’t know how much I’d love blogging when I first signed up on WordPress, but now I can’t see myself not blogging. Being a blogger is part of my identity now. I’m sure many of you can identify with that and find this completely true! Speaking of growth, Lifebeinggirly hit over 1,000 followers on WordPress alone. That’s so amazing shit. Thank you all again for subscribing and being a reader of my life’s musings. I also find inspiration through you so I thank you for being awesome!
Have you seen those cute Year in Review slide shows Facebook is offering? I tried mine out and even though I didn’t do anything grand this year such as graduating college or taking a big trip somewhere or having a baby, I had the greatest year because I can help celebrate these occasions with the people I love. My sister in-law, Danielle, graduated from University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) this year, as well as my younger sister, Dina! Two more Bulls in my family!
Dear friends Louie and Katie, Angeline and Gilbert, had their first babies this year and I couldn’t be happier for them. Their babies are THE CUTEST little things and I couldn’t be more excited for them to start their journey as a new family and as mothers and fathers. I love them so much and I love their little ones! They are truly and extension of both put together. Yes, I understand that’s how babies work, but it’s so neat to actually see it in real life, ya know? These guys are leading the way and I plan to get all the information I can get from these guys when Ronnie and I plan on having kids (no, I have no idea when!)

You know that I LOVE my birthday. I was so lucky to have so many special friends, family, and husband to make my birthday even more fantastic! It was such a fun birthday celebrated with 3 cakes! I never had so many cakes for my birthday. So it was “literally” a treat! I basically love ALL birthdays so it was fabulous celebrating others birthdays beside my own. God blessed me with a big family to celebrate a birthday basically every month. And if it wasn’t my family’s birthday it was a friend’s birthday. Double yay!

2013 marked 4 years together with Ronnie. Yippeee! Here’s to 4 more years (can’t help but say that chant due to being a Registered Voter) but 4 more years and THEN SOME! YAY! It will be celebrating 5 years in June and I definitely think that’s an important milestone.
Speaking of my husband, things simply fell into place this year for us to be successful in our work lives. He started a brand new job that he loves and me finishing my Practicum. It’s funny and awe-inspiring to see how things fall into place in life. It makes me think of all the times I worried myself sick that I should have known everything would work out and that we were going to be okay.
2014 was a beautiful year and I hope 2015 will be just the same. If 2014 taught me something, it’s that everything will works itself out. Just enjoy life’s ride because it’s completely riding in the fast lane in the highway of your life. <3<3 Remember to keep on dreaming because life’s possibilities are endless.
What was your 2014 like? Anything that you want to continue working on in 2015? I’d love to know!
<3 always,
Christina

Putting Yourself Out There

For this week's post, I wanted to tell you how I brave other’s opinions/feedback and how I feel about posting personal stories. I sometimes worry that my teachers will look up my blog and see how girly I am, but I’m not ashamed of it. I hope that you can find courage to post more often than not<3
When I write a post that’s really personal, I can tell it is because I’m usually hesitant before I hit the “Publish” button. I understand that I have my blog linked to my other social media sites like InstagramFacebook, TwitterGoogle+, and Pinterest. And I’m pretty sure people I know will be reading it. I try not to think about it like that. I completely forget about it until I have a friend tell me, “Oh, I saw on your blog that such and such.” Or that I’ll be catching up with a friend and she’ll stop me mid sentence when I’m telling her what I’ve been up to and say, “Oh ya, I know. I’ve read your blog!” I have crazy friends! LOL! Just kidding. Get really nice feedback from friends is the best part. I’m always so surprised that someone takes time out of their day to read my blurbs. Thank you and I love you!
I’m elated that my family and friends take time to read my blog. I love knowing that I have their support both in life and online.
To be honest, I’m not as scared anymore, I hope that readers abide to the rule, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” with “Don’t judge a blog by its last post.”
Not that I’m not happy with my posts, (If you see it posted on my blog, I’m content with it by my girly standards!) but it’s more than one post that makes me well, me! I have happy days and I have sucky days. I’m human and 100% NOT perfect. And I’m A-Okay with that.
So to those bloggers out there who are afraid of hitting that “Publish” button, or linking their blog to their other social media sites, I say, ” DO IT!” I promise that you’ll be both happy and relieved to share with others.
I hope you enjoyed my confessions this week! Stay tuned for extra girlyness!
Have a wonderfully pink Wednesday!

Greetings, Blogger!

Hi, everyone!
This is my first post on Blogger and I'm super excited to extend my blog, Lifebeinggirly, from Wordpress to another social platform. Can I get a 'Woo!!"
I wanted to talk about how much I love blogging. I find therapy in it whenever I type out my thoughts, feelings, and ideas. What about you? What do you love about blogging?
I also recently found a beautiful nook space that would be an ideal Blogging nook for myself one day. Take a look and tell me what you think!
My blogging nook consists on the end of my couch in the living room. I like that I can sit and watch tv in the background, but it would be nice to have a space like this! I’ve also seen other bloggers gorgeous desks and work spaces in their home.
The only problem with this is that I don’t like typing on a desk with my laptop! It totally gives me carpal tunnel and it stinks. So a blogging nook would work best for me (and for my wrists!)

I THINK that chaise is from Ikea, and with a splash of pink I think I can ideally have this one day (unlike most dreamy house pins from Pinterest!) And it looks like there’s enough room if one of my furry kitty cats or dog wanna hangout with me.
Do you have a “blogging nook?” If so, what does it look like and what makes it yours? I’d love to know the details of your blogging haven.
